August 1996While preparing this newsletter, I am keenly aware that some of you have paid a dear price for believing and declaring the message found in my book. Some of you who were so excited by the new revelation, couldn’t wait to share this truth with your friends and family, only to be bombarded, ostracized and called a fanatic. Some of you are still licking your wounds and wondering what happened. You only wanted your friends to hear what you had learned. Well now you know something of what I have experienced for these past eighteen years. Ezekiel himself experienced the same reaction to his message in his day. Ezekiel 2:3-7 (Living Bible) “ Son of dust he said, I’m sending you... to a nation rebelling against me. They and their fathers have kept on sinning against me until this very hour. For they are a hardhearted, stiffnecked people. But I am sending you to give them my messages-- The messages of the Lord God. And whether they listen or not (for remember, they are rebels), they will at least know they had a prophet among them. Son of dust, don’t be afraid of them; don’t be frightened even though their threats are sharp and barbed and sting like scorpions, Don’t be dismayed by their dark scowls. For remember, They are rebels! You must give them my messages whether they listen or not”. Does this sound familiar? Let me encourage you not to be discouraged because Jesus told us that this would happen to his followers in the last days. II Timothy 4:3-4 “For there is going to come a time when people won’t listen to truth, but will go around looking for teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear. They won’t listen to what the Bible says but will blithely follow their own misguided ideas.” The Lord God of Israel warned religious professors in Jeremiah’s day, of the same attitude back then, as we see in many churches today. Jeremiah 7:8-11 (Living Bible) You think because the temple is here, you will never suffer? Don’t fool yourselves! Do you really think that you can steal, murder, commit adultery, lie, and worship Baal and all of those new gods of yours, and then come here and stand before Me in my temple and chant, ‘we are saved!’ - only to go right back to all these evil things again? Is My temple but a den of robbers in your eyes? For I see all the evil going on in there.” Let me encourage you not to be discouraged regardless of what others say. Our God is doing a new thing in the lives of many families and individuals. Church leaders are beginning to admit that their so-called-answers, are not answers at all. Even the world leaders are beginning to say, “We must get back to one man / one woman, if our society is going to survive.” UPDATE REPORT: Just because you have not received a newsletter lately does not mean that we are asleep at the wheel of Webb Ministries. We have just finished, and are awaiting the delivery of our “Revised and expanded third edition of Till Death Do Us Part.” This new edition has a totally new format that we believe will get across the message as never before. How does the new version compare it with the present version? Here are a few comparisons.
We want to encourage you to keep studying and speaking the truth about this crucial subject until the Holy Spirit does a new work in the hearts of His people. The Trojan Horse Within the Church For those of you who have ordered this booklet in the past, I know you will be pleased with our new edition of it. It can now be placed in a regular business envelope for mailing instead of a big 8 x 10 manila envelope. It’s materials have been revised and clarified. One of our partners just received a copy and was so pleased they ordered 250 to hand out and mail to others. We trust many will help us get this message out in similar ways. We are constantly trying to upgrade and clarify the message the Lord has laid on our hearts so none of you will ever need to be ashamed to hand the materials out. My Resignation Most of you know that I have pastored a church for over 23 years while trying to keep Webb Ministries functioning. Trying to preach every week, counsel, and care for a flock while doing this ministry began to take it’s toll. After much prayer I reluctantly resigned and retired from the pulpit ministry. I was a very fortunate man to have had such a supportive church. On January 28, 1996, after twenty three years and three weeks, I resigned as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, and now hope to give my time more fully to Webb Ministries. This has not been an easy decision, for I have no idea what will develop with Webb Ministries Inc. I do want you to know that in the days ahead I want to schedule seminars throughout the country, teaching this message. Several groups have already contacted me asking for details. If you would like to help sponsor a seminar on Marriage and Divorce in the months ahead, please contact us by mail, or call 1-407-834-5233. We would be happy to conduct a seminar on Friday or Saturday, and be available to speak and sing at Sunday services. It would be so easy to sit back and take it easy in this stage of life, but I know the time is short, and many of you need to be encouraged, and rooted and grounded about this subject. We have groups in Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Colorado, and Oregon who have already indicated an interest. Please let us hear from you if you are from those areas and would like to help us. Syllabus We are now in the process of developing a new syllabus for use in the seminars. Please pray that the Lord will give us wisdom and guidance as we complete this task. You have no idea how much we need your daily prayers as we are stepping out by faith into this new field. We hope in the near future to have an 800 number and have credit card capability to process your orders sooner. |
