Message from the Webbs

Please pray with us concerning the immediate future. Our home is now sold and we will have to move out within a couple of months. We feel we need to downsize our home because of our age in life and the cost of upkeep. We do not presently know where we will be placing our ministry office. Right now we have three persons indicating an interest in moving to the Orlando area to minister with us IF we have a location out of which to operate. We have had the office in our home for over 25 years. We realize however we cannot continue to do this and cause the ministry to grow or remain strong in the years ahead. I do not know how or where that facility might be right now but we believe it is time to expand and locate in a permanent facility where we can bring in pastors and volunteer workers for training to go out and hold seminars around the country. It is time for this because I am not going to be around forever and this message must not fade away, but rather get stronger.

If the Lord puts a burden on your heart concerning this present need, please pray about it and contact me. With God, all things are possible. We know what we need and will be glad to share it with you.

Trojan Horse Revision

As some of your know we have been frantically revising “The Trojan Horse Within The Church.” It has been an arduous task but is moving along. Please pray for us concerning this revision. The book will no longer be 32 pages but closer to 90 pages with a very precise, clear presentation, direct quotations of when, where, and how the marriage/divorce message was distorted, and the warning God gives to those who follow it. Without your prayers we will surely fail. We totally depend upon you to uphold us as we continue to do battle.

We will let you know in the newsletter when the book is ready for sale. We believe it will have a much broader audience and will direct everyone who reads it to go to “Till Death Do Us Part?” Thank you for your prayers and faithful support.

Praise Report from CPR Ministries

The first International Marriages For Life Conference

The first International Marriages For Life Conference is now history.

How we wish every one of you could have attended this incredible time of fellowship, praise, worship and solid Bible teaching on all aspects of scriptural family principles.

The music was outstanding. One person wrote: “Although we felt the program schedule was too heavy to absorb it all, we absolutely would not be late for one minute of each session lest we miss the incredibly anointed music and singing. Our spirits were lifted every time. How we thank God for the opportunity to attend every session.”

The messages by each speaker were clear, challenging and imparted with a spirit of experience and humility. Each message complimented the one before it.

The times of food and fellowship were sweet. So many who have had to stand alone and be maligned and misunderstood were able to meet each other and link up by computer to encourage each other.

The poolside lunches were delicious and everyone I spoke to had nothing but compliments about every aspect of the conference.

We give God all the glory and praise for the faithfulness of the Holy Spirit to bring together speakers from around the world, most of whom had never met before, and cause them to flow together with one heart and mind to get our message across. We can never again say we are alone! God is raising up more men of God all over the world and by His grace we will come together with one voice and be loudly heard in the days ahead.

Please pray with us for the Lord’s leading concerning future possible conferences. Several pastors came to us after the conference asking if they could get 45 churches together to sponsor another conference, would we come. The Spirit of God is on the move. If ever C. P. R. Ministries needed your prayers and support, it is NOW!

Letters & Testimonials on the Conference

Dear Pastor Webb,

We are writing to express our sincere thanks for the inspiring and challenging seminar, “Marriages For Life,” which we attended in January.

We were blessed by the dynamic speakers who shared the truth of the scriptures on divorce and marriage. We had read your excellent book “Till Death Do Us Part?” before the seminar and it was so refreshing to also hear from other speakers on this important matter. It seems like you had the best of the best there.

I came to the seminar believing that I would get more ammunition to use in the fight against divorce and remarriage but instead God used Dr. Ken Nair and Dr. Mike Gorrie to challenged me to improve my relationship with my wife. I gained many new insights of the relationship between Christ and the church and my wife and I, that I would not soon forget.

 The accommodations and meals at the Grosvenor Resort Hotel were excellent. We commend you and your committee on a job well done. We made many good friends with whom we wish to keep contact. My wife and I would also like to thank you for the scholarship that was given to us, which made it possible for us to attend. Without the scholarship we would have lost out on this life-changing event.

 May the Lord bless and reward you as only He can for your love and sacrifice in serving His people.

We love you,

D. P. NY

Brother Joe:

Thanks be to God for the Marriages for Life 2006 Conference! My wife and I were enriched, encour-aged, and inspired through the sound biblical teaching at this conference.

On our way down to the reception on Thursday evening, we got on the elevator with another couple who intro-duced themselves as Mike and Marion Gorrie from New Zealand–one of the speakers at the conference. Mike, with his British accent, has a tremendous gift for communicating biblical truths and principles through his preaching and real-life stories of his experiences in South Africa and New Zealand…what a blessing! Their commitment to God, each other, and the marriage covenant shines through and through. God is impacting souls through the commit-ment of this couple and their ministry–all the way down in New Zealand. It was a treat to learn to know Mike better in those several days together.

Ken Nair seemed to be speaking directly at me on Saturday evening as he spoke the importance of loving our wives in an understanding way. I am committed to my marriage, but the Holy Spirit revealed several glaring deficiencies in my character as Ken spoke. He communicated clearly and from his heart–obviously with years of learning and maturing. His vision and understanding of the marriage relation-ship as an analogy of Jesus Christ and the Church has been generating additional thoughts and deeper contem-plation on the subject since the conference.

The other speakers and content– ranging from historical drift to the examination of the early church leader’s position on the subject on divorce and remarriage (in particular) was reaf-firming and solidifies my conviction that marriages are for life.

There were two surprises for me at this conference: 1) The SMALL number of pastors present–(and I was one of them); 2) The LARGE number of divorced (or separated) individuals present who are committed to “standing” for their covenant marriages – P.T.L.! D. N.

Thanks for your part in making this conference possible – and for all the effort and work that went into this well-organized event. I trust even more people will be blessed in 2007!

I wanted to thank you for all the work and energy that you put into the 1 st International Marriages for Life Conference.  I’ve been separated from my wife since October 2004. Since then I’ve had my life turned upside down. I’ve struggled with the question about remarriage for some time now. I asked my church family minister if I was allowed to marry again if my wife chooses not to reconcile, and he said yes because I was the innocent party. He further explained that if my wife were to marry again that the marriage covenant would be broken. He didn’t mention what book of the bible or verse confirmed his view (now I’ve learned that he was probably meaning Matthew 19).  At that time I just started reading the bible, and I acknowledged his statement. However, deep inside it still didn’t feel right or make sense.

As I began reading the bible, especially the verses on divorce and remarriage, I was still confused because I felt that some verses contradicted each other.  The verses in Mark and Luke were very clear, but in Matthew and the Old Testament not so clear.  However, I kept thinking what did God originally intend for marriage, and I kept going back to the beginning in Genesis.  The verse in Genesis 2:24 just seemed to make sense, and the verses in Mark 10:6-8 confirmed it even more.  However, I still kept getting hung up on Matthew and some of the Old Testament verses.

After your conference however, and listening to the many knowledgeable and wise speakers, it is no longer a state of confusion.   The explanation of Matthew; that he was speaking to the Jews and their customs answered my misunderstanding of the term “unfaithfulness” (I’ve been using the NIV bible which uses unfaithfulness in Matthew 19).    It also helped to see so many other “Standers” (I never heard of that term before) at your conference that had the same view.

I don’t know if I’ll challenge my family minister yet since I’m so new at understanding the bible.  But, I believe my first step will be to meet with him again and ask the same question and have him explain where it states in the bible that I can marry again.  From there, I can then go back and study his response and then meet again to have him view my understanding.  I guess it’s just little steps at a time.

Thanks again and God Bless.

Dear Brother Webb;

I want to thank you and congratulate you for your vision and faith in planning and carrying out the MARRIAGES FOR LIFE conference in Orlando last week. It was our privilege to be there and share with all present the wonderful presence of the Lord, the excellent ministry from the Word of God and the beautiful and most appropriate music from the guest musicians… We returned home with sincere gratitude to you and all those involved in making the conferences a success.

May the Lord continue to guide your steps in His perfect will.

In the love of Christ our Lord;

O. & E.J.S.

Brother Webb;

Words can’t express what that conference meant to so many people. It was informative, as well as reaffirming and the wealth of experience on the platform was helpful and impressive.

I can’t thank you enough for all the time and effort you put into it. The accommodations and meals were “just right.” I really can’t fathom how you got all that accomplished. I do hope there will be other conferences to follow.

You are in our prayers.

D. & R. F.

Dear Dr Webb,

In my years I have been to more Conferences than I can count.  I have to say that the Conference in Orlando in January was the very best of the best I've ever attended.  I only have one complaint.  It was not long enough.  I didn't want it to end.

I don't see how there could have been any group of speakers in one Conference who had more knowledge, wisdom & humility than these men.  I hope to hear them again in the next one.

Thanks for all the work and prayer that went into the planning of this wonderful time of refreshing.
