The CPR Vision
For some of you who are new to this ministry, Pat and I would like to acquaint you with a brief history and our present vision for the future.
In 1980 Webb Ministries was incorporated with the desire to share the truth concerning marriage and divorce, which the Holy Spirit had already been burning into my heart for over eight years. By faith, we began sending out a three-tape teaching to pastors and Christian leaders all over the country asking them to please review the teaching and judge it for scriptural correctness.
I can also remember going to the Post Office many times, not knowing for sure if I had enough money to pay the postage. In fact, from 1980 until 1996 I did not take one penny of personal support from the ministry.
In 1983 we published our first edition of “Till Death Do Us Part?” (172 pages), and watched as the Lord began opening doors of outreach.
The first open door to publicly speak this message was on a radio program in Tampa, FL. After that interview a man called me from St. Petersburg, FL saying he had heard me on the radio and every objection he had while listening, I answered from scripture. He then invited me to appear on his television program several times.
From there God has continued to open opportunities to speak on national and international radio and television programs, speaking in 35 different denominations, establishing an international web-site, producing many teaching tapes and CDs, besides providing seminars on marriage and divorce and Biblical principles for Christian families.
Through our Hosea Project we are now contacting pastors and Christian leaders worldwide with this vital truth and finding a core group of leaders who are requesting that we try to schedule an international conference on marriage and divorce. God is good!
During the past twenty-five years we have concentrated our efforts keeping up with the demands for materials and counseling. We have out grown our current space and we feel it is time to find a building in which to place this ministry. We need a place where we can invite Christian leaders for training and encouragement. Our vision is to have an appropriate facility that will allow us to conduct small seminars and mentoring other “Timothy’s” who will be able to carry on with this ministry.
The Lord has brought us this far and we feel He is placing this desire in our hearts to share it with you. As you may or may not know, we have never allowed this ministry to go into debt. We will proceed only when funds are available.
This project is the biggest challenge we have faced. We do not have the finances for another building, but we believe if it is God leading us, and we are trusting Him that He will impress this need on the heart of someone who has financial contacts we do not have and The Lord will make it happen.
We are writing to those who have faithfully prayed for this ministry, those, who without their help we would not be here today. You are the ones we are asking to pray with us in this matter and see what the Lord has for the future.
This newsletter contains a sampling of the letters we receive, and shows how the Lord is impacting lives through this ministry. As partners in this ministry, these are letters showing the struggles and victories others are experiencing. We rejoice in the fact that we were able to reach them with His Word, pray with them, come along side, encourage them and be a resource for them. God bless you. We look forward to hearing from you.
